Message from Pam our new Captain

I can't quite believe how quickly this past year has gone, and I hope you have had a very enjoyable golfing season.

I would like to, once again, take the time to pass on my sincere thanks to Sharon for her hard work and dedication to the Border Ladies during her Captain's term and I congratulate her on a very successful year. As a Vice Captain, I don't think I could have learned from a better person, Sharon's commitment this year has been exceptional and I have very much enjoyed my year working alongside her, I will do my utmost to continue her high standards, thank you Sharon.

Unfortunately at the moment, I don't have a Vice Captain, however I have the support of a very willing and able committee and I know they will make my year much easier. We still have two vacancies on the committee and if anyone would like to know more about what this would entail, please get in touch. Of course, you don't need to be on the committee to help out, and I'm sure I can call on everyone for assistance if required.

The list of fixtures for 2026 is below and I hope you will agree we have a good mix of venues this coming year. I am very grateful to each club for their support in allowing us courtesy of their course and I am looking forward to the year ahead and enjoying our golf together.

If you have any questions or queries, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Enjoy your winter golf, and I look forward to seeing you in the Spring.

Best Wishes

Pam Cessford

Captain

Message from Sharon our outgoing Captain

We held our AGM last night at Melrose GC. Many thanks to Melrose for allowing us to host it there and Janice for opening up, as well as all the ladies that attended.

I'm delighted to say that the new Border Ladies Captain is Pam Cessford. Pam has been my Vice-Captain over the last year and I can honestly say I couldn't have picked a better V-C. Pam has been by my side offering help and assistance throughout the year and I know I'm passing on the Captaincy to very capable hands.

I'd like to thank my Committee for all their hard work and support, everyone mucked in and made my role easier. To the Team, caddies and supporters, thank you for all the effort and commitment at the Jamboree. The conditions tested us to the limits, but we still came out smiling with our team spirit shining through.

To all the members who have supported our competitions and the clubs that have kindly given us courtesy of your courses, thank you.

I've thoroughly enjoyed my term as Captain and look forward to seeing everyone out on the course next season.

Best wishes
Sharon
