A very hot and muggy morning at Dumfries & County Golf Club saw the match tied after the morning foursomes, with some great golf played by both sides.  Unfortunately, the Border Ladies were beaten in the afternoon singles matches by 5 - 1,

Scottish Ladies Championship

2015 and 2016 Border Ladies Champion Tara Mactaggart has been playing at the Scottish Ladies this week at West Kilbride Golf Club.
With 2 solid rounds under par, she finished 4th qualifier for the matchplay event.
On Thursday morning, Stirling student and Minto member Tara beat Samantha Leslie (Kemnay) 2 &1 in the first round, she then played defending champion Clara Young (North Berwick)in the afternoon winning at the 19th hole in a very close match,
On Friday she won her morning quarter-final match against Susan Wood (Drumpellier) 4&3 to set up a semi final in the afternoon against past champion Gabrielle MacDonald (Craigielaw). Tara's run in the competition this year came to an end when she was eventually beaten 2&1 in another close game,
