Jenny, Dottie, Ann and Lucile, thank you for all the hard work you did over the last few years, and a warm welcome to Wilma, Isla, Denise and Ailsa, who are joining the committee. Hope to see you all in 2012.

AILSA BAIN, PEEBLES, COUNTY CHAMPION 2011
Congratulations to Ailsa on winning the County Championship and also to Wendy on winning the Bronze division. Very well played Leanne on reaching the final - having gone from Bronze division champion in 2010 to runner up in the Silver division this year is a great achievement. Well done also to Kath Fletcher, runner up in the Bronze division.
My thanks to Gillian and all who helped out at the weekend in my absence, I was disappointed not to be at the Roxburghe to see some of the golf on display from the players in both divisions but especially our younger players Ailsa, Leanne, Danielle and Tara.

Championship Finals day 2011
In the first semi final of the day Leanne Wilson (Kelso) beat Danielle Ker (Roxburghe), she sunk a putt from off the green on the 16th to seal the match 3 & 2. Ailsa Bain (Peebles) won her semi final against Tara Mactaggart (Minto) on the 15th.
Leanne Wilson, only 14 years old who has a handicap of 16, was last year's bronze division champion. She had played really steady golf over the two days and did extremely well to get to the final but found it difficult against the more experienced 19 year old Ailsa, a previous Scottish U18 champion, who won easily 7 & 5
Wendy Underhill (Hawick) beat Kath Fletcher (Hirsel) on the 16th in the bronze final.
More pictures of the day will follow
